AAT Qualified Accounts Assistant (Ref: J6423) Contract Permanent

I am supporting a large top tier firm who is looking for an AAT Qualified Accounts Assistant to join them. This is an opportunity to work within a specialist team providing services to a varied client base. You will work in a busy department where you will support the Supervisor in developing the team, many of whom are studying.

You will be AAT qualified with 3 or 4 years’ experience of preparing accounts, bookkeeping, processing information, dealing with client queries, VAT and preparing management accounts.

Main duties:
Undertake bookkeeping for clients using Xero, Quickbooks, Sage, excel for bookkeeping, and CCH for accounts preparation.
Accounts preparation work and tax computations for simple cases including companies, partnerships and sole traders.
Complete bookkeeping and VAT returns, and maintaining reconciled trial balances.
Review bookkeeping and VAT returns prepared by a client
Dealing with client queries.
Prepare management accounts, for review by more senior staff and discussing results with the client.
Used to working to budget and achieving targets for chargeable hours.
