My client situated in Bromley are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is wanting to develop their current skill set in a reasonable sized finance function.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
·Purchase ledger – checking, processing and paying invoices.
·Expenses – checking, processing and paying staff expenses.
·Payments – processing payments and expenses in an accurate and timely manner. • Reconciliations – perform monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
·Process information from policy administration and pricing systems to the general ledger.
·Assist with treasury and unit pricing duties.
·Assist with preparation of VAT returns and ad hoc submissions as required.
·Provide support and cover for other members of the Finance department, and in particular the other Accounting Analysts as required.
·Ensure appropriate procedures and controls are documented and up to date.
·Know and follow the risk management activities for the duties set out above.
·Know the principles of Treating Customers Fairly and apply them as appropriate.
·Participate in ad-hoc projects as required. Knowledge, Skills and Experience
·Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
Accounting qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent) The client offers a competitive salary, life cover, pension scheme into which the company will contribute up to 10% of total earnings and a performance based discretionary bonus scheme
