Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior (Ref: J9050) Permanent

My Client, a medium-sized firm based in Mid Kent, is looking to appoint an Audit and Accounts Semi Senior. This role would suit an experienced individual who has a background in audit & accounts or someone who has general accounting experience in practice but is looking to gain some exposure to auditing with support and training. This role will be working within the accounts and audit department and you will work as part of a team.

you will work with a portfolio of clients and be primarily involved in the preparation of limited company, partnership, and sole trader accounts, monthly management accounts, assisting with audits, and the preparation and submission of company tax returns as well as income tax returns. Ideally, you will be studying toward or nearing qualifying ACA or ACCA, (Study support will be offered)

Ideally, you will have experience in :

– A mix of audit and accounts work
– Preparation of client account
– Preparation of FRS102 accounts with minimal assistance
– Statutory audits, and possibly supervise junior members of staff
– Preparation of corporation tax computations
– Experience in using QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage and use of Mercia audit pack would be a benefit but is not essential
– Experience in CCH accounts software (we use full CCH suite) and good Excel skills beneficial

Ideally, you should be professional, communicate well, and be able to maintain a good working relationship with clients, and fit it well with colleagues in a friendly office environment. They also offer a flexi-time working arrangement which provides a degree of flexibility for all employees regarding hours and working from home. The level of salary will be dependent on individual experience, qualifications and hours worked.
