Audit & Accounts Senior (Ref: J11439) Permanent

Goldhawk Associates is working with an established Ashford-based Firm of Accountants, supporting them in appointing an Audit & Accounts Senior. Based in Ashford this opportunity can offer a nurturing environment with a supportive attitude towards development and training and where progression is encouraged.

Depending on your experience you will be involved in preparing accounts, VAT, corporation tax, auditing, and general provision of accounting services. You will gain exposure to a varied client base, with exposure to large clients, and will be client-engaging so good communication skills are key.

You will be responsible for:

Preparation of accounts predominately for limited companies as well as sole traders and LLPs
Preparation of corporation tax computations
VAT returns
Liaising with the HMRC
General accounting services and support
Preparation of packs for client meetings
Planning and delivery of audit/accounts assignments in a timely manner
Prepare the audit files and manage client communication in an effective manner
Maintain a good working relationship with clients
Support and assist in training junior members of the team

It is essential that you have previous experience of working within an accountancy practice and be ACA/ACCA Qualified. They offer hybrid working, parking on-site, pension, and progression.
