DevSecOps Engineer (Ref: J10777) Permanent

This role works across multiple technology product delivery teams, promoting best practice in DevSecOps to ensure a consistent way of working. It is expected the role will drive the migration of systems and take ownership of the build and set-up of new development tools and infrastructure, as well as designing, developing, and operating infrastructure products / tooling, and actively seeking ways to automate and improve security.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Designing, supporting and improving the company’s AWS Infrastructure.
• Identifying security gaps in DevOps tooling / processes and filling those gaps.
• Working with Development Teams to help embed security into the Software and System Lifecycle.
• Helping to improve Detection and Response capability.
• Ensuring applications are responding properly to non-functional requirements (performance, security, availability etc).

Technical requirements

• AWS experience.
• Windows Server Operating Systems and Linux Ubuntu.
• Configuration Management – Terraform, Terragrunt, Packer and Ansible.
• Scripting – Bash/Batch/PowerShell.
• Networking – DNS, Firewalls, Load-balancing etc.
• Database Technologies – Microsoft SQL.
• Logging/Monitoring – PRTG, SIEM (Rapid7, AlienVault, Splunk etc) Prometheus, Grafana and CloudWatch.
• Knowledge of code reviews

Additional Information

• This is a full time, permanent position, 37.5 hours a week plus 1 hour unpaid for lunch.
• As a standard, working hours will be 9am- 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
• This is a hybrid working role with you needing to come into the office 2-3 days per week.
