Financial Controller (Ref: J9508) Permanent

We are currently working in partnership with a privately owned and highly successful SME based in North Kent who are looking to recruit a Financial Controller. In this role you will take ownership of the whole finance operation and work closely with the Managing Director to help take the business forward. Key duties will include:

– Oversee company accounts and investments
– Produce monthly management accounts (P&L and balance sheet) and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
– Review all financial reports and data closely to look for discrepancies
– Develop budgets and financial plans for the company, based on research and data reports
– Manage cash flow and recommend ways of reducing costs and improving efficiency
– Oversee all accounting functions, including payroll, ensuring compliance and best practice
– Produce and reconcile bank account balances
– Manage and review capital expenditure
– Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll
– Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported
– Ensure financial reporting systems comply with government regulations and legislation
– Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
– Review systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
– Supervise, motivate and manage the accounts team
– Report to the Directors with timely and accurate financial information
