Financial Reporting Accountant (Ref: J9519) Permanent

We are currently working with an acquisitive and forward thinking PLC based in Mid Kent who are looking to recruit a Financial Reporting Accountant. This is a newly created role and will focus on preparing the Group’s financial statements. Your key duties will include:

– Managing timetable for preparation, audit and filing of 140+ sets of financial statements to ensure compliance with all required deadlines
– Preparing financial statements for each legal entity and partnership under relevant reporting framework (IFRS, FRS 101 or FRS 102)
– Ensuring appropriate disclosure is made for any new accounting standards or significant changes in the businesses
– Liaising with regional finance teams to ensure all relevant information is collated to allow accurate preparation of financial statements
– Building relationships and working with external audit team to complete all required audits
– Performing intercompany reconciliation processes
– Liaising with company secretarial team to ensure timely filing of all financial statements
– Where relevant, assisting with alignment of financial year ends and dissolving dormant entities no longer required
– Assisting Group Finance team as required in other financial reporting requirements

The successful candidate will be ACA or ACCA Qualified with experience of working within an audit practice.
