Group Technical Accounting Analyst (Ref: J9328) Contract Permanent

We are currently working with an international and market leading organisation who have a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant.

The role will initially be focussed on the roll out of the new procedures and controls in relation to the implementation of the new leasing accounting standard. Once the new process has been embedded, the role will be fully engaged with other technical accounting projects across Europe. In the first instance you will play a key role in the establishment of the European Group Centre of Excellence for lease accounting (both under IFRS and US GAAP), with responsibilities across:

– Reviewing lease documentation submitted by European entities
– Liaising with all European entities to ensure accuracy and completeness of information submitted
– Completing technical accounting documentation to support the accounting treatment of each lease
– Maintaining the lease data in their system
– Completing month end close in their system
– Liaising with all European entities to ensure the journals are booked accurately in their local ERPs
– Liaising with the Group FSR/Reporting team to ensure data is correctly reported in the Group consolidation tool and that US GAAP adjustments are correctly reported
– Ensuring year end disclosures in the statutory accounts are accurate

There is the opportunity for long term career progression and the company has a track record of progressing their staff. The ideal candidate will have experience of IFRS16 and US GAAP as well as excellent communication skills.
