Our Client is a leading commercial business providing academic courses in the UK and benefiting from being part of a Global team focussed on teaching and learning. The HR Business partner supports the MD in running a key division within East Kent by providing a high quality customer focused HR business partnering and effective strategic and operational decision making. You will be part of a supportive HR Global team reporting into Head of HR. Key responsibilities include:
Provides support, advice and guidance to line managers and employees in relation to HR policies and procedures, employee relation issues and organisational change.
Partners with the Managing Director and Senior Management regarding the strategic people plans of their brands.
Proactively coordinates coaching and training with line managers in order to raise knowledge and understanding of the Company HR policies and procedures.
Promotes employee engagement, analysing the data from any surveys or focus groups.
Ensures the completion of good quality appraisals and completes a learning needs analysis to overcome learning needs for their brand.
Ensures central communication is delivered across their brand.
Delivers and supports the business on a wide range of HR projects.
Monitoring and Compliance:
Analyses HR reports and drives HR KPI improvements.
Ensures a timely and accurate production of HR administration in relation to their business area.
Ensures the Company is legally compliant with UKVI regulation and oversees the visa sponsorship applications for Tier 2.
Monitors absence and supports line managers to ensure effective absence management and completes occupational health referrals where necessary.
Ensures the HR system is maintained and its use maximised with support from the Central Team.
Ensures compliance with Department for Education and ISI Regulations in relation to Safer Recruitment.
Reward:
Manages the pay review and bonus process for the relevant business area, liaising with business leaders.
Benchmarks salaries within the brand and advises managers on local market trends.
Learning and Development:
Delivers training sessions regarding people management practices.
Ensures the consistent delivery of induction by line managers for new employees in their brand.
Recruitment:
Manages the recruitment process within their brand liaising with the Central Team.
Attends as a panel member where required, at interview and selection events for senior candidates and contributes to the decision making process relating to the most appropriate choice of candidate.
Person Spec:
·CIPD Level 7.
·Undergraduate Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
·GCSE English & Maths – Grade C or above.
Knowledge & Experience
·Excellent knowledge of Employment Law.
·Good knowledge of UKVI regulation.
·Demonstrable experience across a generalist range of HR activities.
·Demonstrable experience of handling complex HR issues.
·Experience of working in a fast paced, evolving company.
