Interim Finance Manager
Are you an accomplished finance professional ready to make an impact? I’m working with an established business based in East Kent who are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join on a long-term contract. In this key role, you will manage the financial operations for a key division, providing strategic financial insights and analytical support to senior leadership. As the leader of a small finance team, you’ll ensure accurate financial reporting, deliver in-depth analysis, and drive performance improvements to support the commercial decision making.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning efforts, delivering comprehensive reporting packs to support informed decision-making. You’ll oversee the preparation of timely monthly management accounts, providing insightful performance analysis and benchmarking. Your responsibilities will include rigorous financial oversight for new projects, ensuring the integrity of balance sheet accounts with regular quarterly reviews and monthly reconciliations. Additionally, you’ll prepare investment appraisals, conduct post-investment reviews, and provide commercial analysis. By partnering with department heads, you’ll help identify growth opportunities and efficiencies, while serving as the primary financial contact for the pub operations team, attending performance reviews on-site. You’ll also manage ad hoc external reporting as needed.
About You
The ideal candidate will be qualified in CIMA, ACCA or ACA, with proven experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Business Partnering. Experience in the retail or manufacturing industries would be beneficial. Proficiency in accounting systems, particularly SAP, and advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, are essential. Strong communication skills are key, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, collaborative, and able to build strong relationships across the business.
On offer is a salary ranging from £60,000 to £75,000 (based on experience) plus hybrid working and a range of company benefits #10165
