Management Accountant (Hybrid) (Ref: BH-10081) Permanent

Working Title: Management Accountant
Based at: Orpington, Kent (Hybrid)
Reporting To: Financial Controller

The Management Accountant manages an allocated portfolio of project companies and supports the Financial Controller. Responsibilities include managing the accounting finance team, invoicing, credit control, creditor payment processes, and maintaining financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with contractual documentation and procedures.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee payments, bank instructions, and annual operating budgets.
• Prepare treasury investment proposals and quarterly corporation tax payments.
• Manage the statutory audit process and prepare draft annual statutory accounts.
• Approve sales invoices and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Maintain the corporate calendar and draft year-end corporation tax computations.
• Prepare interim accounts, dividend, and loan note certificates.
• Support Finance Managers in delivering contractual financial information.
• Participate in the development of the finance function, team, and systems.

Experience and Knowledge

• Minimum 1 year of post-qualified experience.
• Management and statutory accounting experience.
• Experience in compliance-focused environments.

Qualifications

• ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
• Current membership of a recognised accounting body.
