People Manager (Ref: J11412) Permanent

I am recruiting for a People Manager on a permanent part time basis to join a very friendly, people focused business located in Sittingbourne. They are looking for someone to work 24hrs per week over 3 days. Please note that the salary advertised will be pro rata’d.

Main Responsibilities

• People Manager for the office
• Own employee relationships and take day to day responsibility with dealing with issues such as recruitment, performance, Big Relationships, maternity, paternity and sickness
• Ensuring the HQ Talent and Succession plan is up to date and future proof.

Reward and Recognition

• Advise on pay review for the team, ensuring fairness and consistency
• Be involved in head count for new roles and owner of org charts
• Wellbeing
• Manage annual health monitoring and ensure all issues are followed up in a decent time frame
• Manage annual nurse visits for all employees and occupational health for employees when required
• Be the wellbeing champion for the office and continuously strive to improve the wellbeing of employees
• Owner/Sponsor of affinity groups

Learning and Development

• Liaise with the L&D team on learning needs and being a cheerleader for personal growth
• Get involved with leadership academies, advising on content and supporting with training
• Encouraging squiggly careers and supporting people at the start of their career in operations to grow
• New Leader Breakfast clubs

Additional Duties

• Weekly office update
• Contribution to monthly leadership report
• Inductions for new starters
• Role model in the People Team, supporting development of others and support team projects and milestones.
