Personal Tax Assistant (Ref: J9807) Permanent

Goldhawk Associates are working to support a large, established local Firm of Accountants based in North Kent who is looking to appoint a Personal Tax Assistant. Ideally they are looking for someone who is ATT Qualified or studying towards the ATT and looking to specialise in Personal Taxation.

The role requires and experience individual with a minimum of a few years’ experience of working within a Practice environment with the ability to support clients in the preparation of tax personal tax computations and partnership returns, dealing with queries, preparation of VAT returns and liaising with the HMRC.

The role will be predominately compliance focused with a portfolio of about 250 clients, so would need to be someone experienced of either supporting a portfolio or managing your own portfolio and providing appropriate client services. You will be responsible for all deal with aspects of tax planning and advisory for the clients you will be responsible for. Although you would need to have some ambition to develop the advisory role you would need to have a focus on the compliance elements of the role and workload and also be adaptable to embracing technology and a paperless process.
