Personal Tax Manager (Ref: J7244) Permanent

Goldhawk Associates are supporting a medium sized, established Firm in North Kent who is looking appoint a Personal Tax Manager to their team. They are looking for someone to join their team as a senior level due to the nature and experience of the current staff. This role would suit a qualified tax manager with previous experience of managing a team and will be focused supporting the Partner in providing client services to their varied portfolio. It will be a challenging opportunity, working with a varied portfolio of private clients, partnerships, trusts and estates. You will support by assisting in the provision of tax compliance and advisory services to a varied client base.

Responsible for your own portfolio you will help manage the department’s self-assessment compliance cycle. Maintaining a portfolio of high net-worth individuals and clients with more complex tax matters. Make sure that work is serviced, delivered and managed in and effective way. You will review tax compliance work which is produced by more junior member of the team, identifying tax planning opportunities and concerns and resolving areas requiring further consideration.

You will:
Prepare and review self-assessment personal tax returns prior to submission
Capital gains tax, inheritance tax and income planning
Residence and domicile tax advise
Liaising with and dealing with HMRC Matters
Provide tax support on advisory projects.

This role would suit a CTA Qualified Accountant or and experienced Personal Tax Accountant who will work to support the Tax Director and Partners and team. Progression is on offer in this modern and ambitious accountancy firm.
