Goldhawk Associates are working with an established Firm of Accountant based in West Kent, the TN area, who are looking to appoint a Payroll Manager to join their team. This position will be reporting to the Partners and be responsible for running the firm’s payroll services. You will be responsible for work flow, allocation, billing, reporting etc, as well as dealing with client queries and dealing with the more complicated payrolls.
You will be responsible for supervising an experienced payroll assistant and administrator, so you will supervise and mentor them and make sure the team and department are running smoothly. They have some complex payrolls and will be involved in processing and managing these more complex and challenging payrolls. This role needs someone who is experience in dealing with providing payroll solution and dealing with more complex payrolls. This role is reasonably hands on so you will manage and get involved although it will be quite a challenge at times you will be left to run the department as you wish with the support and guidance of the Partners there should you need it.
Typically, this department has run well and efficiently but it requires someone to come in and manage the service offering to the standard the firm require, so it is ready for the right personal to come in and continue in the same vein. It is essential that you have previous experience within a payroll managerial role in the profession and must be able to demonstrate the experience required to be able to manage this department and function effectively.
