Strategy & Project Accountant (Ref: J10402) Permanent

A highly successful distribution/wholesale business based in Manchester are currently looking to recruit a Strategy & Project Accountant. Reporting to the Group Finance Director you will be responsible for providing strategic and detailed financial analysis, commercial and governance support to all areas of the business.

Key duties will include:
– Preparation of management accounts, which will involve visits to other local offices
– Reviewing controls and processes in order to make improvements where necessary
– Providing commercial support to the senior managers of group businesses
– Preparing cash flow forecasts
– Liaising with the internal and external auditors
– Ensuring that corporate and divisional financial deadlines are met on time
– Developing financial reports as required to support decision making
– Assisting with budget and forecast preparation
– Assisting with preparation of financial analysis to support investment group business cases
– Preparation of incisive and user-friendly management information, meaningful financial analysis, input and advice to divisional colleagues and senior management to support decision making
– Preparation of financial models to support bids for new opportunities
