I am currently supporting a firm in West Kent to appoint a new Tax Assistant/Trainee. Supporting a portfolio of Kent and London based clients, you will deal with all aspects of statutory accounting, VAT, and Corporation Tax returns. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist firm with a very strong growth strategy. You will work with a varied client base of larger limited company clients. You will also be responsible for supporting the team and clients from a wide range of sectors.
To be considered for this role you must be experienced Interested in a career in taxation or studying your ATT or AAT, qualified by experience candidates will also be considered. This would either suit an entry-level candidate who is looking to move into a career within taxation or someone who has a little bit of experience, likely to be in a small accountancy practice firm, with experience of preparing statutory accounts and tax returns for Ltd Companies.
This growing accountancy firm based in West Kent has 2 Partners and approximately 10 staff. They are growing and through their success, they have gained a great reputation. You will work in a friendly team, and you can expect to work on an interesting array of SME / OMB Kent and London based clients and achieve progression within a short space of time.
The ideal candidate will be competent with IT systems and experience of Xero and Iris would be beneficial. You will be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, be a team player, and be able to work to tight deadlines.
The role requires you to support clients in the preparation of tax computations, dealing with queries, preparation of VAT returns, and liaising with the HMRC. It is predominantly compliance focused. You will be trained to deal with aspects of tax calculations, planning, and advisory services for the clients, supporting the team.
Study support will be given.
