Interim Financial Reporting Manager (Ref: J9293) Temporary

A listed business in SE Kent are seeking an experienced IFRS Accountant for a period of 3-4 months to assist. This attractive role covers Reporting & Controls, whilst working closely with the FP&A function.

Key responsibilities:

• Balance sheet control & delivery of all statutory reporting requirements, including financial statements, tax and leading on implementation of accounting standard changes and internal and external audit.
• Working closely with the FP&A Manager to ensure all aspects of control are delivered accurately in line with GAAP and within required time frames
• Prepare monthly balance sheet variance analysis, demonstrating a clear and detailed understanding of variances during review meetings.
• Champion the appropriate use of analytics in all processes undertaken by the Team.
• Track and manage balance sheet risks and opportunities.
• Deliver Financial Statements for all relevant legal entities, in line within internal and external requirements.
• Deliver Corporation, VAT and Insurance Premium Tax returns, ensuring all processes and reporting is in line with current tax best practice and guidance.
• Be the technical lead for Financial Accounting, rolling out any change requirements under new or existing IFRS Accounting Standards, including the drafting of accounting papers for internal and external use and the training of staff.
• Continually review and improve the control and process environment, implementing automation to increase efficiency and reduce risk of manual processing errors
