My client is an established firm of chartered accountants based in North Kent. They are looking to recruit to a key business role within their Firm. They are looking for an experienced Audit Manager, a Not for Profit specialist, to join their senior management team and play an integral part in their growth strategy. This role will support the Partners and work alongside the other Audit Manager to run the department. This is a growth area and they are looking for someone experienced within this field as approximately 70% of your time will be managing the Not for Profit client portfolio and team, with your other time being focused on corporate clients.
You will be involved in overseeing the team and working with the Partner to develop future business through further engagement of their clients and networking. Their client base is growing and the department is busy so this role requires support from an experienced Audit Manager who can work with the demands of this client arena. You will be responsible for leading a team, allocating workloads, coaching and mentoring as well as ensuring the provision of a high level service. You will manage all processes and oversee compliance with GAPP and provide practical guidance on regulatory matters such as tax and VAT regulations, requirements of UK law and the principles of good governance.
Ideally you must be able to demonstrate strong management experience, interpersonal skills and tangible experience of leading in client engagement. Due to the natural growth of this specific client area it is important that they have the right key staff operating in this team. It is essential that you have strong experience and exposure to charities, academies and corporate audits as this will allow the firm to continue to offer the level of service required and continue to build on this client base. In turn there are development opportunities and potential for the right individual, this role will offer you the opportunity to work with a dedicated and supportive team. You will be ACA/ACCA Qualified with a stable career history and academic record, you will be an established manager or an assistant manager looking for that next step up.
