I am working with a very niche Firm of Accountants based in London an easy walk from Charing Cross Station who are looking to appoint an Audit Semi-Senior. This is an exciting appointment as the Firm are looking for someone to complement their team of skilled and talented individuals. This role would suit a talented part-qualified ACA or ACCA candidate or AAT finalist with exemptions with a couple of years experience of working within the profession. You will be responsible for providing audit and financial reporting services to a diverse corporate and entrepreneurial client base. It is essential that you have had good all round audit and accounts exposure and be looking for a forward thinking, fast paced mid-tier Central London firm where you can progress your career.
You will be joining an established sizable Audit team, working on a large client portfolio within a multidisciplinary practice, liaising with international clients and affiliates and supporting senior team members.
You will be responsible for:
Preparation of statutory financial statements from trial balance or primary records
Preparation of working papers to support audit work and financial statements including lead schedules, checklists and statutory reviews
Audit of financial statements by way of sample testing and analytical review
Review of audit and accounts work undertaken by junior members of the team
Visiting client’s premises to carry out audit work where necessary, including stock take attendances
Liaising with clients to carry out work including audit and accounting queries
Performing an advisory role to a portfolio of clients
Working solely or as part of a team on audits and accounts preparation assignments in respect of small, medium and large companies
Meeting both internal and external deadlines
Spending approximately 80% of your time at the London office
Reporting on a regular basis to Managers and Directors for auditing and accounting
You must be:
Part-qualified ACA or ACCA, or an AAT finalist with two years practical experience
At least two years’ experience in a mixed audit and accountancy role
Experience of planning and completing audit and accounts preparation assignments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong IT skills – with CaseWare experience an advantage
