Indirect Tax/VAT Consultant (Ref: J5611) Permanent

I am currently working to support a client who is looking for someone to join their Indirect Tax/VAT Consultancy team. This is a position that will involve working with the managers and directors of a specialist niche Tax/VAT consultancy that provides consultancy services to a varied client base including NHS and Property clients. You will work within a team of specialists who vary in experience, working with the managers and directors to continue to develop and service the client base to their high level of service delivery and standards.

This role would suit an experienced indirect tax accountant or a VAT Consultant who has either come from an accountancy & finance or taxation background. Professional qualifications or qualified by experienced candidates would be considered. You must have experience of having previously worked within either the NHS, Property, or Tax/VAT field. Prior Indirect Tax or VAT recovery experience is essential, this can have been gained within any sector. You will manage large volumes of data and maintain clients’ services on-site, reviewing and collating information to provide Indirect Tax/VAT recovery, saving, and compliance services. You will be responsible for developing and implementing methods in line with the HMRC regulations.

Your professional experience:

• ATT, or equivalent qualification/experience

• Prior Indirect Tax/VAT recovery experience gained within the NHS or Property or accounting services would be advantageous

• Strong communication skills

• Excellent client-facing and relationship-building skills

• Ability to work with teams effectively to achieve financial targets and Bonuses
