VAT Consultant (Ref: J5611) Permanent

I am currently working to support a client who is looking for a VAT Consultant to join their team. This is a position that will involve working with the managers and directors of a specialist niche VAT consultancy firm that provides consultancy services to a varied client base. You will work within a team of VAT specialists who vary in experience, working with the managers and directors to continue to develop and service the client base to their high level of service delivery and standards.

This role would suit an experienced VAT Consultant who has either come from an accountancy & finance or taxation background. Professional qualifications or qualified by experienced candidates would be considered. You must have experience of previously of working within the VAT field with the ability to work with and support their professional client base.

It is essential that you can display a proven track record within the VAT field. Prior VAT recovery experience gained within import, export, education, or media would be advantageous You will manage large volumes of data and maintain clients’ services on-site, reviewing and collating information to provide strong levels of VAT recovery, saving, and compliance. You will be responsible for developing and implementing methods in line with the HMRC regulations.

Your professional experience:

• ATT, or equivalent qualification/experience

• Prior VAT recovery experience gained within import, export, education, or media would be advantageous

• Strong communication skills

• Excellent client-facing and relationship building skills

• Ability to work with teams effectively to achieve financial targets and Bonuses
