A new opportunity has been created for a European FC to join an International Manufacturing business in Kent. A listed company overseas, this firm are a growing business that seek a degree educated finance professional with several years Financial Accounting experience, ideally gained in Audit

You will come from a large International company background with good knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP & ideally SOX

Role overview:

You will proactively ensure effective, efficient and controlled financial processes are operating throughout Europe, across different legal entities and ERP platforms, aligned with global policies and procedures. In conjunction with the Financial Planning and Analysis team, you will contribute to the European financial planning, budgeting and forecasting activities, including Opex, Capex and cash flow management. You will also be responsible for:

* Month end close and balance sheet account management
* Group financial reporting and local accounts preparation
* Provide accounting and tax advice, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
* Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, Opex and Capex management, including forecasts
* Direct and indirect tax compliance
* Manage third party accounting and tax compliance providers
* Manage external auditors, jointly plan and execute audit programs, including the design, implementation and adherence to SOX controls
* Control fixed assets and inventory, ensuring independent verification

Person Specification:

* 5 to 7 years experience in accounting and economics
* Degree educated and either ACA or ACCA Qualified
* Knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards
* Knowledge of SOX Controls
* European languages preferred (but not essential),
