Part-Time/Full-Time Accounts Assistant (Ref: J11626) Permanent

I am supporting a client based in the Tunbridge Wells area who is looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to their team., They are an established small accountancy firm for a qualified AAT accountant or someone who is qualified by their experience and has the depth of experience to bring with them maturity and knowledge which will allow them to engage effectively with their varied client base. This role would suit someone who has worked in a general accounting capacity who understands working with corporate clients, and someone with strong accounts bias with knowledge of corporation tax issues.

The role will be working with the team, and you will be responsible for supporting them with providing accounting services to their clients so relevant experience is key. You will be responsible for the preparation of accounts, general bookkeeping, preparing corporation tax computations, personal tax returns, and VAT. You will be proficient in Sage, could accounting, and Iris and be IT literate. This is a friendly professional environment and due to the nature of the clients, they would like to have someone predominately office-based but can offer some flexibility. It is key that you are happy to work in a small but professional environment.

Responsibilities:
– General accounts
– VAT Returns
– CIS Returns
– Accounts to trial balance
– Prepare sets of year-end accounts for review
– Tax return preparation

This role could work on a full-time or a part-time basis so if you are looking for some flexibility around hours, they are open to varied working patterns. (e.g. work around school hours) There is parking on site and they are close to train station.
